Does anyone know of a good place to get a driveshaft??
I got a pretty good deal on a '87 325E (2 door auto).
I knew that it had a drivetrain noise, and I incorrectly assumed
that it was a bad guibo (probably spelled wrong). After the
exhaust was dropped, I discovered that there was no guibo
on this application, just a siezed front (unservicable) u-joint.

So, does anyone know of a rebuilder/manufacturer that
they have heard good things about??

I just looked up a driveshaft at bavauto, over $500.00 - OUCH!!!
I want to get her fixed for this weekend - BMWCCA holiday party
at the Penske museum (north scottsdale autoplex).

I found the shop in Chandler (local dealer refferal).
it is called Beyer motor works (Beyerdriveline.com)
I ordered it on Tuesday, it should be here Wed (Shipping was only $17, including return shipping for the core)
After I receive and install it, I'll tell you how it turned out.

I had to FAX them a copy of a business license to order, they only sell to shops.

When I got to work this morning, the FedEx truck was waiting (about 7:30 AM)
Very good quality, looked O.E. -new- installed and worked flawlessly
Suggested list of $420..Bavauto suggested list of $519+shipping(including $100 core charge) so they would have been about the same, but I got a good discount through my shop.
