Dumb Questions.... Please help!!!!

I just picked up a 2001 330CI and it looks great. However, i do have some questions for you guys. I bought my car and it had no Manual along with it. So i'm stock with figuring out this shit my self. Well, here are my questions.


1. I read that when it rains the wiper comes on automatically.
Mine didn't do that. Do you set it or what?

2. When in reverse, only the passenger side mirrow tilts down. Is this normal? Shouldn't both of them do it?

3. Also, when i lock the car with the remote, it locks but no lights flash to let you know that it's locked. Is this normal also?

There are three levels. Have it in the second level and raise the lever up then back down. You have to do this every time the car is turned on for it to operate. Reason; you wouldn't want the wipers to come on in case you were in a car wash, etc.

On the passenger side mirrow tilts down.......to help with curbs. If you have the mirror switch in the right position, the passenger mirror will not tilt.

The dealer sets this feature when you purchase the car. There are many programmable items that the dealer can do for you such as the flashing clown nose regardless if you have an alarm, lights flash when you lock or unlock.

I've found a very usefull function that the dealer (BMW itself in Italy) didn't know of........opening the car form remote and then pushing the open button shortly again, when you open the driver door you get the window going complitely down. It will raise up complitely as soon you close the door.
You can get the same function getting off the car if you push shortly the open button on remote before opening the door and after having SWITCHED OFF the internal lights.
I find this not explained function very usefull in my tight box..........getting in and off my 330ci is much more easy !!!
