Dumb question - setting clock on Business CD player

I read the car (01 330cic) manual and the radio manual. Each manual says go to the other for instructions to set the clock. I'm talking about the clock that's on the face of the radio. This is the Business CD player - no HK system.

Is there another clock available on the display under the speedo? If so, I apparently don't know how to activate that one. Will activating that one and adjusting it also adjust the display on the radio?

Thanks,
Neil

There should be a little clock symbol on one of the buttons on your radio. Pressing and holding it will access the radio set features.

If you can't access a clock on the speedo display by pressing the computer button on the left steering wheel stick (turn signal stick) then you don't have the clock display in the speedo.

My '01 X5 doesn't have the clock in the speedo display either. Just on the radio (Business).

If you have one under the speedo, like bmwrocks said, you access it by pressing teh computer button (on the tip of the stalk) on the turn signal til you get to the clock. Then, use those little sticks sticking out from the guages to adjust the clocks. On mine, it adjusts both the one under the speedo and in the radio at the same time. Just turn it to adjust.

I had a feeling that would be it. I'll try this when I get home (my wife's car). Pressing (and holding) the button with the clock symbol on it on the radio didn't do anything.

Thanks.

One more thing, as I had to do this recently with the time change. The key has to be in position 1 (that's in one of the manuals), then one of the buttons on the guages will adjust the clock on the computer display and the radio. It won't work with the engine on.

I have both, the one on the radio (as most do) and the one under the Speedo. BMW has been very bad about explaining how to access some of the features of the electronic dash instrumentations. You can usually find it, but it does take some looking. BMW should be clearer on this.

Adjust Reset Set BMW Clock

Very helpful Codex57! The key is to toggle through the displays on the instrument cluster using the button on the end of the turn signal and then rotate the two knobs in the cluster that are usually reserved for reseting the trip odometer.
