Dumb Question

My car should finally be coming in at the end of this month. I was wondering how many miles should I expect to see on the Odometer. I really don't want the mopes at the dealer driving my car around.

Is there an average that you guys recall when you first picked up your new cars? I'm not sure what the law is in Maryland about how many miles can be on a car for it to still be considered new. I don't want to show up at the dealer and see 500 miles on my car already.

Normally if they PDI(Pre Delivery Inspection) your car before pick up, expect for it to contain around 5-20 miles.

When I purchased my M3, it only had 5 miles on the odometer.

Technically the car can contain any amount of mileage and still be new, its not considered a used car until the registration is transferred into your name.

mine had 6 miles on it ... although i didnt special order it ... i bought the car the day it came on the lot

if you had it pre ordered chances are there will be less than 10 miles on the car....mine had 12 and it wasnt pre-ordered.

Mine was ordered and had 9 miles on it when I took delivery.

Mine came from the lot. It had 17 miles on it originally. Wish it were in the single digits like some people. Never had a car with that low miles before.

Mine was still in plastic shrink-wrap when I purchsed it and it had 5 miles.

I guess I was the lucky one, I ordered, knew when it would be delivered and the little man drove it off the truck and as soon as the tires hit the ground he got out and I got in. I drove it into the service bay for final inspection and it had 2 miles on it when I first sat my butt in the seat. I am sending this message from that seat now, I still have not gotten out, LOL. You should have less than 10. Track it on the BMWUSA.com website. If you special ordered your dealer/sales person can help you track it's every move. Good Luck and Congrats!!!!!

Mine was special ordered and had 7 miles on it. But the 8th mile was the best mile!

13 miles on mine when I picked it up. I am over 900 miles now on 27th day. I think that's a lot considering that my commute is 2 mi each way.

I am confident the miles will be comparable to what others have stated for vehicles that were ordered and you will be thrilled to see it - finally. I know I was after a 72-day wait.
