Hey Group,

Just took the car out this morning. FIrst time taking it to work (this site anyway in NJ).
The car has been in the garage untouched for 4 days. This morning, I noticed a uniform layer
of dust on the car. Even after the 60 mile drive, its still there. How do you "dust" the car without having to wash it? It's brand new...it has about 200 miles on it now.

Thanks!!!

I use Zaino for my car and would like to use the Ca duster, but I read that the duster has wax on it. Would using it leave wax on my paint and then would have trouble adding zaino on the car ?

xi guy - I'm in the same exact boat. Mine has 255 miles and a horrible layer of dust (I'm in Arizona - it's unavoidable). I was wondering the same thing - I have the CA car duster, but am nervous about using it when the car is this new and the paint job hasn't fully "cured". Any thoughts?

My CA duster puts very fine scratches in my waxed finish. I don't think it can scratch the clear coat but will scratch the wax. It would only show up if the car is black or a very dark color.

Have you guys noticed how hard it is to type the word 'scratch'. Okay, it's just me.[hah] [hah]

Just wash the car... [}:)]

Removing dust particles without water is asking for scratches. [wave]

If you are lazy to actually WASh the car... get one of those hose attachments and just spray wash it.

Personally I would never use a duster on my cars exterior to remove "dust" the way you guys are describing it.

I would call that dirt, not dust.

It seems to me that anything with dirt on it being dragged across your clear coat will potentially scratch it.

Just wash the damn thing!!!!
