Hello guys I'm jive new to this site. I hail from Richmond VA where the E30 following isn't that big or bright on the subject. I own a 87 IS and have done a few engine mods that give her a little more performance. Now I'm at the point where I'm getting to the suspension. I figure in the long run I'm not going to be happy with my E30 till I give her 5 lugs to roll on and a beefier suspension. I'm going to start with the 5 lugs, so if there is anyone out there that has done this before and got some tips for me to look out for I'm listening. No need to mention how exspensive this conversion is b-cuz I've heard the stories already, but since I have not bought any of the components thus far, if you guys know where I can buy the quality parts for cheap, please point me in that direction. Looking forward to hearing you all's reply. Thanks,

Calidonia

For the most part, it really isn't worth the time/money. Plus, most of the period/style correct wheels, like Borbet, BBS, and other German wheels come in 4x100 (some are even only made in 4x100). Finding 4x100 wheels isn't that hard because MKII VW's were the same. The offset will usually be a bit screwy, but spacers will be easier than a whole 5-lug swap.

If you still want to do it... Go to r3vlimited.com and you will find a forum made just for E30 5-lug conversions. Good luck!

I don't think tirerack has anything. What they will have is 5-lug wheels after you've done the conversion. [:)]

The 5-lug conversion forum at r3vlimited.com is definately your best bet.
