e46 m3 exhaust on e46 3-series, is it possible?

Hey guys, I need some help and I really appreciate it if anyone can answer this. I have a e46 m3 and my friend has a e46 330i. I just replaced my exhaust and I was wondering if i give him my old exhaust can it be installed on his car. Excluding the fact that the rear body skirt won't align with the m3 exhaust, could it be a direct bolt on, or does anyone know of the modifications that would be needed in this procedure? I dont think it will fit, the problem is that on the regular 3-series there is a spare tire compartment where the M3 exhaust would normally be located and mounted to.

If he likes the look of the quad exhaust he is better of getting a nice exhaust system and having a shop do some frabrication.

I have to agree with Tom. With some major modifications I am sure you could make it work, but I am sure too that it would not be worth it.
