e46 Navigation question

When you select "information" on your travel/destination and pick an item (i.e. restaurant or bank) and you return to the map, you get an icon showing you the location of these things...how do you reset the system so that these icons disappear after you no longer want them?

I have the same issue with my navigation, at one time I had a bunch of crossed forks/knives all over the map after looking up a restaurant. I have noticed that they disappear if I use the 1/2 mile scale, they seem to show up on the 1/4 mile and smaller scales. I did "correct" the problem by looking up the nearest BMW dealership, that way only those icons show up and they're few and far between. Not a fix, but it helps.

I have the same issue, and I was setting the search to airports.

BTW when you are entering addresses in the address book can you enter a street number? When I enter addresses there doesn't seem to be a line that allows you to enter the street number, which seems kind of strange.

You can enter the street/house number. Its the 4th one down as you are inputting address information. It's the "No./Intersection" tab.
