Hello, we are planning on building a turbo kit for the new M3's real soon and I was just wondering what kind of interest there is in a turbo kit like this.

Let me know what you guys think about the idea. We build some really nice products for EVO's, DSM's, STI's, etc. We are looking to make some products for BMW's as well. I will give you a quick rundown of what it would include.

Turbo kit, tubular manifold, external wastegate
FMIC Kit
Donwpipe, IC piping, hoses, etc
fuel system w/RnR black box
Everthing needed to bolt onto your M3

Here is a kit we built for the EVO 8. It made 494 whp on a AWD dyno.

I wish we could do everything, but we have to pick what cars we want to concentrate our time on. The car that is being brought in to be built is a 2003 M3.

Bimmers don't really like forced induction. It's just the nature of the engines.

You guys better consider lowering compression ratio as well or the engine will go "poof" very soon. And M3 engine will not handle high boost either (I doubt you'll be able to run reliably at over 9psi even with the IC). It needs internal modding for proper results.

Good luck though![thumb]

M3 engine

Plus with M3 engine is very expensive to replace/rebuild.
Probubly not a good guini pig engine/car to be designing/testing turbo on.

Good luck to you though.

Whoa that would be sick. But like the M3 needs more HP? Now a 330Ci that where it's at. [rofl]

So you guys need a test car? [wave] [clap] I would be more than happy to ship anywhere.... Well almost anywhere.

Good Luck[thumb]

We will just keep the boost low and put a nice sized turbo on there. You don't really need to run a lot of boost to make power on a motor this size. A lot of it just comes down to tuning.

Hopefully everything will work out alright.

Wouldn't it be better if you made a turbo for the other models of the 3 series instead of the M3. Since there's a lot of people there that would like to add a turbo on their car. THe only thing is the engine compression ratio on all BMW engines are pretty high. Just like Akakubi said, you'd need to do a lot of work on the engine itself. Don't think its a good idea fiddling with an M3 just yet. But if you want to take on DINAN, go ahead. They have supercharger kits for the 3 series, but DINAN itself is pretty expensive.

turbo for the m3 sounds like a good idea. but seriously, how much further can they push the 3.2l. geez, good luck though, that'd be way sick.

especially if it somehow fit on my 328is
