Ok, finally received the new ECU. Installed it, and wahla, no joy. Starter engages, ignition to plugs is good. But, no fuel. There is no juice to the fuel pump fuse (#18) but there is to the fuel pump relay.
Called the Dealership today and asked if the ECU had to be programmed by them for application to a '96 328i. They said no. But the Bentley Service manual says otherwise.
Anyone know for sure?
Could failure to program the ECU for the 328i/Auto trans cause the Electronic Immobiliser Control Module (EWS II) lock out the fuel pump?
