Ok guys...my baby has been in "intensive care" at the dealership for about 3 days now. I was driving to work the other night and the turn signals would not work, the airbag light came on, none of the radio controls on the steering wheel would work. THEN...get to work at the hospital and my dash lights stayed on for 12 hours even though the car was off as well as the lights. They said the mechanic is in there scratching his head because he has no idea what is going on so I am not a happy camper. Has anyone had similar problems???

Well I called them back today and wasn't as nice as I have been because I wanted to know if they actually had any IDEA what the problem was. My car has been there since Friday morning so I am getting a bit antsy. They said that they are 95% sure that it is the wiring harness that needs to be replaced which means taking out the entire interior dash basically. Needless to say I am not so happy at the moment. So help me...if I get a car back that RATTLES I will be livid!!

oh drap tiger. that sucks. i am just happy that you have the warranty covering that. the labor would kill your valet. do they at least reimburse you with a loaner for the time the car is in the shop?

Yeah I am driving a 2003 325I which isn't bad but it's not MY car either. It's been GREAT convertible weather down here this weekend and I didn't get to enjoy it with my car. I just got another phone call saying they think it is the entire wiring harness from the front to the back of the car which means if they have to replace that they basically have to rip the ENTIRE interior out of the car. [?|] [:(] [xx(]

It is great convertible weather in Houston........isnt it Wadula??

I can already tell you my car rattles.........and I didnt have anything removed to cause the rattles.....this is their third go round on trying to get them fixed, they keep saying the leather causes swishing noises, nothing they can do about the windows rattling due to convertible, have to replace rail assembly on the passenger seat, took out all door panels and dash to help cushion more.......its never ending, so hope yours is better on the rattles........

Window problem

The day I took delivery on my 330CiC (1.5 week ago), I found that when I put my roof up for the first time that the passenger door window did not come up with the rest of the windows if when I kept the close button depressed. I had to use that window's switch to raise it.

The next day, the driver's window started doing the same thing. I found that the 'all up' button also did not work for either window.

I took the car back to the dealership and, after a day in the shop, was told that it was a 'software' problem and was fixed by 'reinitializing' it.

Somehow, I picture a technician hooking a keyboard to the computer port and doing an 'alt-cntl-del'.

Anyway... loving my new convertible, otherwise. GREAT convertible weather here in sunny FL!

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I think a car is just a touch too complicated when something as simple as a power window has become computer-controlled. [|)]
