I recently moved from Utah to California. Although it was a long drive I was having a lot of fun... until I ran into Acura TSX or RSX. I can't even remember. I was averaging about 90-95 mph (75 mph on I-15) passing by a lot of cars. And when someone tried to keep up with me I'd simply downshift to 4th and just run away from her. Unfortunately, I couldn't do the same with this Acura.

By the time he noticed me I was already ahead of him, he started to speed up and so did I but he got closer and closer. I coudln't believe it had that much power at that kind of speed. I was trying to stay ahead of him but ran into the electronic speed limit (is it 128?). There he was right next to me, looked at me and slowed down like I am not good enough for it. It was one of the worst feelings I've ever had driving a bimmer.

So what's the deal here? I don't know what their top speed is but they definitely don't have electronic limit set like ours. I probably shouldn't have shifted to 5th and 6th so soon but that thing really impressed me. It left bad taste in my mouth...

That sux. have a 01' 330ci and have had it up to 136 twice but then it is noticeably restricted. The RSX and TSX top out at 145. The 330ci unrestricted should go 155. You can take off the limit by having your ECU reprogrammed. I recommend Dinan or Conforti Shark Injector.

That is shocking. I drove one before I got my car and believe me it is nothing and does not even compare to my car. Yours is without question faster but it sounds like it was all the electronic limitation.

I know after driving one I would love to run into the Acura under the right circumstances; I don’t have the electronic limitation. [burnout]

I think mine does 154-157 (drag limited) and the 330's should be in this range without electronic limitation.

don't worry about it, man. i'd take my bimmer over a faster acura any day.

if they were side by side in a parking lot, which would you rather have? fugly acura or a sweet bimmer? [:)]

if you really want to take out most cars out there, then go and get yourself an M3. awww yeahh..

The TSX and the RSX are two totally different cars. The TSX has 4 doors and the RSX has 2 doors. Maybe it was a 2004 Acura TL...270hp sedan, those things are beasts.
Either way, you should definitely get your ECU reprogrammed if you feel that your top speed limiter bothers you. [:)]
