well i got the news.. the block is cracked.. ![[?|]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_banghead.gif "Bang Head [?|]")
my mechanis said it might be from lack of oil but thats all bullshit cuz i just got an oil change and a new oil level sensor.. i bought the car from him so im thinkin of contacting my lawyer cuz in 3 months ive spent 1000 in repairs.. well anyways

I found an '89 325 being parted out on ebay, engine was said to be in good shape. Whole car cost $400 located in Miami. Check ebay.
There is a small shop in zionsville IN that seems to have engines from time to time.

not sure how you think it could be the mechanic's fault. If you take a car in for rear suspension, then next week for front wheel bearings, then next week for a power antenna, and your engine dies... you cant do anything becuase the mechanic never touched it. A simple oil change can not warrant anything against the mechanic, unless he forgot to put the filter on or something.
i beat the car up by kickin in the taillight after the clutch blew.. i was really angry and obviously intoxicated.. heres a list of all of the things ive done to the car
new hoses all around
new oil level sensor
new clutch
new driveshaft mount
new front brakes
new valve cover
new valve gasket
new alternator
new antenna
and a bunch of cosmetic add ons
i never have any problems with the suspension.. i was just looking to upgrade it
i took in the car in the 3rd week of jan for an oil change.. he used castrol syntec and he did the oil filter as well.. i began having a small leak so i took it back in and he said the oil level sensor was shot and there was a leak bcuz of it.. he changed it after i bought the part straight from the local bmw dealer.. put it in the leak stopped but he told me to add some more oil.. bought 3 qrts of oil and added it on.. checked the level and it was perfect.. he topped off all the fluids and away i went.. but he did warn me i gotta get a new clutch.. so i did order one the day b4 it blew.. got it in he put it in and showed me the driveshaft mount was worn so i put that in as well.. drove the car about 300-400 miles after that and then coming back from visiting a friend at college, the engine seized.. no smoke came out.. no fluids leaked.. i checked the oil and it was dry as a bone.. i checked the oil every morning b4 i go to work since its an older car and checked the ground on my driveway for any leaks and there were none.. the block has a hole the size of a fist.. i threw a rod apparently.. i cant really do anythin bout it bcuz theres no clear evidence of what happened if there was a leak or not.. but i know that in my part i maintained the car in prestine shape other than the kickin in the tailight episode.. i had people interested in buying it.. well not gonna take the mechanic to court. cuz he offered to help me out finding a new engine wit low miles and not charging me for the labor since i did buy the car from him.. found one with 92k which is really good considering i had 122k on mine.. well after the engine is placed on the car i will be selling it bcuz i am goin away for a few months so the car is just gonna be sitting there and im gonna use to money for travel expenses.. so if anyone in the ny nj ct area interested pm or email me.. the car is prestine condition.. just needs a paint job( which i saving up for ) the interior is perfect.. only once small tear in the pass side door panel.. the dash has no cracks whatsoever.. new gauge cluster.. new radio.. new rear speakers.. new intake filter.. i have a dinan chip ( uninstalled ) and i have a racing dymamics wing to be put on it.. everything works on the car.. all the power options.. windows steering.. all the sensors work.. the ob clock needs a new bulb.. other than that the interior is in great shape.. the theres a small dent on the front fender and a lil bit of bend on the bottom ( purchased it like that ) i have an extra fender if your interested.
