Just had my annual "oil service" done by my mechanic and, well, it was a little more expensive than i expected:
1) Castrol FMX engine oil, 15W-40: $35.00
2) Oil filter, M40, M42, M43: $13.00
3) Spark plugs (4): $40.00
4) Washer additive: $1.00
5) Wiper insert, E36: $22.00
6) Headlight switch globe, 12V: $2.25
7) Battery terminal spray: $1.50

9) Front end alignment: $39.00
10) Power steering fluid: $10.00

13) Clamp/Sleeve (that's for the muffler joint): $49.50

Yeah i was pretty cut. Turns out the previous owner of my car missed an inspection the stupid arsehole so i had to get that done. Power steering was leaking so had to get that reconditioned above the universal joint (it wasnt even a new system!!). The old muffler was absolutely shot but now my car is too quiet! At least my baby is up to scratch now and i've continued with the genuine BMW parts.
