extended warranty program

I just purchased a new 2006 325i. Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not to purchase the extended warranty and maintenance program beyond the first 4 years. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Depands on a couple of things.. Are you planning on sticking with the car after the first 4 years are up? Are you planning on going past the industrial standard of 12-15k miles a year? Will you be doing the maintenance on the vehicle yourself after the original warrenty is up? Does the company have a good recent history of their vehicles being fairly reliable past the 50-60k mile mark. Is the price right for you? etc.

I personaly don't own a new car, and don't have much experience with owning one, but if I was in your position, these are the questions I would be asking.

The required 60k service is over $1,000 right now, who knows what it will be in 3-4 years. I took it. It's nice to know I have 10 year 100k bumper to bumper everything.
