Extra Keys (Thinkin bout getting car alarm w/ remote start)

Does anyone know where I can get an extra remote key and have any idea of how much it would cost me?

It has to be ordered thru an authorized BMW dealer, and you have to show proof that the car is yours...for security reasons. Keys are ordered via your VIN number. I am not sure how much BMW charges, but my Gramma's Volvo key was almost $100.00 at the dealer, and Mercedes is about $150.00. Good Luck!!

U Can Order One At The Dealer Only. Mine Cost Me 120 Plus Taxes Takes About A Week. Then They Must Program It, It Only Take A Min The Service Advisore Did Mine.

Thanks...the reason why I ask is that I'm considering getting an aftermarket car alarm with remote start and I'm being told that I would need an extra remote key for it to work....anyone know why?
