Factory Sport kit

I've got a 97 328i that I was told had the "Sport package" whatever that means. The only noticable difference in this car is the bucket-style seats. I've seen some posts where people have said their car has m-suspension, etc. Is there anyway for me to check out what I really have? Were the seats just a factory option or was there really a sport package?
