I finally got my car back after they have it for two days. They said they replaced the Aux. Fan. But the noise still there. I let the service advisor listen to it (he is pretty cool too), then he grab a tech out and let him listen to it. The tech said the noise came out the intake manifold flap. When the car is running the flap is open to suck in the air. and when the car is off. the flap actually close and this when the noise is from. Then my service advisor grad a I guess a main guy there or main tech to listen to it. Per him he said it's perfectly normal to hear that noise, because the air got suck out then the flap close it when the car is not running. some car louder than others. He then walk me into the shop try to prove it to me that all BMW car have the same noise when the engine is off. Well, I hear the noise but not as loud as mine at all. You have to listen really carefully to hear it but mine is obvoious, So he decide to get the flap replace to see if he can reduce the noise when shut off the engine (the noise like for a second only) he ask me if I want to get it fix? I was like yes I would like to get it fix.
So I have to take it back there Monday and my service advisor will set me up with a BMW loaner instead of the Volvo S40 they rented me. I guess they don't want to keep paying the rental. Well, I will keep you guys posted.
But I still wondering they told me they changed the Aux. fan...hmmmmmmm. sup with that?
