in performance BMW they have a modded E30 375 yes this guy has dropped 7.5litre big block V8 into his E30 the body is slightly longer at the rear than standard to fit the giant wheels it as a two speed tranny and has been clocked at 9.6secs on the 1/4 @ 138Mph [headbang]
I think that that car would be undriveable cause of the serious weight problem of a big block in the front of a 2500lb car. Second, if it has 375 hp it's not running a 9 second quarter mile and if it's 7 liters it better make more than 375hp!!
No its got 550BHP its a drag race car. not a road car the engine is set back and there is nothing in the cabin but a racing seat roll cage and a steering wheel. its all made out of carbon fibre. i havn't got a scanner but any UK guys here get Performance BMW now and read the story its fcuking insane.
srry when i said 375 thats his badg on the back like 3 series 7.5l
That kinda defeats the whole purpose of a BMW (ultimate DRIVING machine), but I bet it's a great drag car anyhow. Do you know what kind of engine it is? I mean, you say 7.5 liter v8, I want to know who makes it....

quote from the article:
The engine in question is a 468 cubic inch (7.5 litre) big block chevy V8. it runs a steel crank and rods, along with forged pistons that give a 10.5:1 compression ration. The iron heads have been ported and there's a roller cam in there somewhere. unleaded fuel is supplied by a massive 750cfm Barry Grant carb mounted on a strip dominator inlet manifold from Holly.
epj3 it races in super street class drag comps. the body is stock(ish) E30 just the bonnet scoop and 5" longer rear to fit the tries.
