Is the car all I thought it would be? The answer is yes. My previous car was a 2001 audi a4, 1.8t quattro. I did the chip and exhaust, intake, bilsteins with the h&R springs, 18 inch wheels and michelin pilot sports. Besides the obvious better looks of the BMW, the car handles better than my audi had with all the work...nevermind a stock audi. With that being said, i cannot believe how great this car is. my brother has a 2004 g35 coupe 6mt. That is a great car too but in my opinion, the BMW is way better in the overall comparison. Both handle extremely well and look nice inside and out. maybe i am partial because i want my car to be better than my brothers....

the only thing that i wonder about is the steering, it seems to have a funny feeling to it. almos t like i have to do alot of corrections to keep it straight. not sure if it has to deal withj that speed sensitive steering or whatever. hopefully it is just something that i will get used to. anyhow, i find that i am very eager to drive it all the time. this 1200 mile break in period is killing me. i read that i cant go over 4500 rpm or 90mph, the engine note is great at 4500 but i would really like to hear it near red line.

i will post some pics soon

Congrats and enjoy! Steering on mine gives me a precise feel of the road without "a lot of corrections". Might check tire pressure (32/38 in mine). Also, go easy on the brakes for the first 400-500 miles to allow the pads/rotors to break-in correctly.

I have a 325ci and I hope you don't have the problems that I've had.

Here is what I've just posted.

Anyone else having my problems. I have a 2004 325ci convertible and I feel like I've have nothing but problems with it. I've had it for almost a year and here's what I've experienced so far.

1. Wind-shield washer fluid freezes. The salesman told me that once in a while the put in a water and fluid mix. What kind of BS is that, I just spent $40,000 on this new car and your being cheat with me on washer fluid.

2. About a week ago I could not open the passenger door from the outside, but I could from the inside. Took to the dealer and they fixed it.

3. Yesterday, I dropped it off at the dealer, cuz I could not get out of the driver door from the inside, but I can open the door from the outside. They told me found nothing wrong. But by the time I got home I could not get out again. Today the dealer picked it up. They have it now and told them not to return until they fix it.

4. The latch on the truck broke, but that was a problem on many of these models had. BMW found a fix and they took care of it. But who wants to have so many problems with one car.

Please tell me there are others like me out there.

Congrats on your new car. I love mine also! I have the same car as you do with the 18" Those low profile tires grab every nook on the road and it just takes a bit of adjustment to get used to. At least it did for me. Just my humble opinion!

hey drtech,

I have only had my 2004 330cic for about 3 weeks, and my car is at the dealer for the 4th time...actually it is there today. They have had to replace all the power window modules and motors, reprogram the door locks twice, try and fix a horrible rattle in the top (they still are "unable to duplicate it", even though my service advisor has heard it on a test drive.

I went to pick it up this mornning, only to find out that they hit the front end into a wall, or a black car, and not only scraped my paint, it is gouged into the plastic bumper. AND...... nothing was said to me...thankfully, I don't not trust any dealer so I walked around the entire car, and got on my hands and knees and inspected the car before I drove away. As I yelled at the service dept., I could tell they knew about it, by how sheepish they acted. Frickin' unbeleiveable to me...spend $50,000...the car is in the shop 4 times already, and then they smack it. Way to go BMW!!!!! Good Luck with yours man!!!
