First BMW, First Wagon (photos added)

Growing up as a kid and riding in the back of our baby blue LTD wagon with wood side panels I swore i would never own a wagon. Well...

My wife and I are stoked. We just picked up our 2005 Metalic Gray Sports Wagaon, black interior, SP, Xenon, power/sport seats and we love it! I have always hoped I would own a BMW one day and I finally do!!

What a joy to drive and ride in. I look forward to the oddest little trips now, even if it is to the neighbors down the street the car brings a smile to my face.

What can I say, we love it!!

Welcome aboard!

In most photo software suites, there's a feature called 'resize.' Mine is under image-->resize. Then select 480x320 or something similar to get you below 49 MB.

My wife also drives a sports wagon and won't drive anything else. Did you guys get a good deal after you told the dealer that you know the E90's are coming out in a few months?

Congrats on the car. Clearly to auto enthusiasts, hell has frozen over in the auto industry since we now actually have "cool wagons" (words that used to never be used in the same sentence), but they do exist, they are great, and the 325i Wagon is no exception. Welcome to the forum, hopefully we can inspire you to supercharge your new baby sometime down the line.... [thumb]

I am going to go with we got a fair deal. Our auto market in Hawaii is different than on the mainland. There is only one BMW dealership on Oahu and one on Maui. For whatever reason BMW's are hot in Honolulu and the demand is high for them. We didn't get it for invoice and we didn't pay MSRP, somewhere nicely between.

Overall, I felt I got a fair deal, great service, and process was amazingly easy (maybe I screwed that’s why?? but I don't think so.)
I have never bought a new car and always had this preconceived notion that buying a car was a painful process. There was no pressure, no sales tactics nothing. Plain, simple, and straightforward, just how I like it.

welcome to the board Jeremy! i wasn't a big wagon fan, but one of my customers picked up a 325xi wagon, and i started to really like it.

a good deal is in the eye of the beholder. if you and your wife are happy with what you paid and are happy with the car, what more can you ask for? not too hard to find happiness out in the paradise eh? [thumb]

[bmwdance] You sound just like me... that's one beautiful wagon, I just kinda liked it a bit better when those rims were unique to the 04 330i... hope you enjoy her. [thumb]

On the side note, would anyone know why BMW doesn't make a 330iT or Xi's into wagons?

I have already been doing some research on that. I think Bavarian makes a supercharger to give it something like 320 hp (at the crank).... Now that would be bitchin! [clap]

CONGRATS. It is beautiful. I have had my Sports wagon (Sports pkg, premium, cold weather, Xenons, HK sound...) for about 2 months and I LOVE it.

I know what you mean about never wanting a wagon, my entire childhood was spent being schlepped around in a Chevy Malibu Classic wagon (My "Vater" thought it was so cool to have a big american car).

Coming previously from a 330cic, and an SL500/E320 before that......I love this wagon. I look forward to every trip.

Congrats, and welcome to the Understated Coolness Club.

They do make a 330iT. However, you have to live in England to get it. Wagons are not huge sellers in the US. Everyone wants a SUV. Go to Europe, everyone drives a wagon, they have the room and are better on gas. There is a big speculation if they will even bring the 5-series wagon over this year. If so it isn't until November or something silly like that. Just not a large enough demand for wagons so they only send the 325.

Trust me, I looked into trying to get one but the steering wheel is on the wrong side....

Go to www.bmw.com and go to the Great Britian site, they even make the 330D wagon which is supposed to be a kick butt diesel wagon.

I have a feeling wagons are going to catch on and you will see more and more people with them. For me it was the 24-30 mpg that won me over on the wagon vs the SUV. We really like the Acura MDX but it was $5000+ more and onlly gets like 15 MPG...

They do, if only Americans were given the same choices as Germans and other Euros. There is a 330ti, 330dti, and even 330xit. Americans love bigger engines, and having "top of the line", so I don't understand why BMWUSA does not sell the Sports wagon with the 330 engine and/or the 330xi!!!

You can dream...but until then we are only given the 325it & 325itxi....although it is still an amazing car :)
