Flickering Dashboard when downshifting SMG??

Hey All-

This past weekend I was driving along and noticed that my dashboard was flickering every once and a while when downshifting (specifically from 3rd to 2nd). All the dashboard lights (check engine..etc) flickered on as if my car was stalling...... although it didnt stall when shifting from 3rd to 2nd... I have stalled a couple times when sitting at a light in first gear... This only started to happen after I took a 5 hour road trip to Chicago. I only have 2800 miles... so is this possibly a part of the "breaking in" process??

I don't have SMG, but I can tell you this is not part of "breaking in". Your car should NEVER stall at a light, EVER.

Are there holes in the dealership roof where you have gone through it? Cause if my brand new 330Ci were stalling at a light and my dash was flickering, I'd have already gone thru the roof.

BTW I am sorry to hear of you or anyone else having nasty probs like that. Nothing can give more anxiety than when a GEO Metro is next to you at a light running at idle, and your brand new BMW has just stalled for no reason.
