Flickering Xenon Lights!!

Aloha All,
I just bought an 01 330CiC with 40K miles. I am new to the BMW and I was hoping I could get some help from you guys. Just last night I turned on the headlights (xenon) and I noticed they started flickering. It happened for about 10 seconds and it stopped. Then I drove away thinking it was not a big deal. Well, as I was driving they started flickering again. I stopped, turned them off, disconnected the wires and connected them back. I turned on the lights and they still do it. Any ideas? Dealer is charging me 225.00 to take a look at them....is that reasonable?

$225 is way too much for them to just check them out - I have never been charged more than an hour's labor and usually the subtract that from the repair bill if I have them fix it.

I just noticed your in Hawaii. I was going to say to take it somewhere else, but you probably don't have that option.
