They are meant to cut off for DOT reasons, but yes you can do some splicing and rewiring and get them to stay on.

Seriously theres no reason, who drives with their highbeams on? You're usually just using them to flash others - so the fogs cut off (so you don't blind people..).

Driving an hour through Mark Twain National Forest last night at about midnight, I used my brights plenty; very dark, twisty two lane highway. Of course, I always switch to dims when there is another car coming. I like the way the fog lights fill in the close area right in front of the car.

I'm not interested in splicing wires, though.

Thanks,

Jerry

Welp, that actually sounds like a reason to consider it though!!

It's a little more than splicing and rewiring even - you'd need a resistor package of some sort so that you didn't throw warnings and blow bulbs - it's been discussed on a few other sites I roam, and I know a few folks have gone through and done it (Don't recall seeing a DIY posted though).

But! Sounds like you have a reason to look into it - check on www.e46fanatics.com and do a search on something like 'fog light delete' or 'highbeam with fogs on' - you'll likely turn up what you're looking for.
