Fog Light

Well the other day a d@mn possum darted in front of me, while on the way to work, and I hit him at the right fog light. Which in turn put a hole in the lens and the light dropped out of its housing.

Is there a cover that can go over the fog light housing vs replacing the light? I never use the fog lights and was wondering if such a thing exists. Thanks for the in input.

why not remove them both and just use the space to cool your brakes like on the M cars?
imo i think that would look better than puttin in the covers.

The covers are available but may be harder to get hold of unless you go to BMW or try a BMW breakers yard. Replacement fog light units are very inexpensive at independant parts specialists also.

I broke my foglights on a regular basis and the car won't pass inspection with a broken one. So every year I'd have to shell out $80 for a light. So I bought these clear covers that go over the glass lens and makes it more resistant to braking. They still broke eventually so I decided to just take the lights out and put in black plastic covers. The foglights on my E36 were pretty useless anyway.

You should be able to order these from Bavarian Autosport.
