free scheduled maintenance question

Let's say that my Bimmer has just under 50,000 miles on it and the free scheduled maintenance is about to end, but my brake pads don't need to be changed at this time. Can I demand that they be replaced, or is that at the discretion of the dealership? Thanks.

The answer would be no, however you can complain to the Service Advisor for brake squeaks, etc "wink" "wink".. and they can check it and replace it if necessary. Some advisors are really cool and will replace it when it's around 60% worn. This of course depends on how well you know him or her. Mine was the one that offered me this tip, but sadly my brakes are still very good and I couldn't get a free brake job out of it.
