Fuel Filter Replacement

The local dealer wants $100 labor...I'm thinking that's several steak dinners!!

So, I'm going to replace my fuel filter myself. Has anyone done this on their E46 or another car? Have any horror stories I should try to avoid?

I have the Bently manual so I'll be pouring over that. I was just wondering if there are any special pointers anybody can share.

I guess everyone's still under warranty? Maybe I should just bite the bullet and pay for it to be done?
