garage door opener

I opened my trunk today and noticed the little circles that says, pre wired for alarm, cd palyer... etc... then it had one that said it had the garage door opener. I have a 2002 330i, where is the stock garage door opener button?...

It's up near the sunroof button...there are three of them for three different garages. It's prewired...so it's an easy do it yourself if you want to buy the component and put it in yourself.

hey Cameron, belated welcome after 14 posts.. ^^;;

BMW if you haven't noticed, doen't come w/ much standard. and universal remote is one of them. usually $180 for the part, it'll install in your headliner just between the sunroof btn and the fake mic spot.

the dot in the trunk indicates you have necessary wiring to hook it up. and is one of the easiest upgrades you can make. there are couple bmw dealers that offer 20% discount on parts, like Circle BMW and Pacific (i think..) BMW. sure you pay shipping, but no tax offsets that. i got mine from Circle BMW. you just have to let them know if you have the sunroof or not.
