Goofy Climate Control

Have been noticing over winter that when the heat was on in both Auto and manual mode the system would cycle between floor outlets and defrost outlets. Up until now I have thought this was normal. But have noticed in the past few days (while the temps in the northeast have been on the cusp between too hot and too cold) that my system has been cycling into the defrost more and while in defrost the fan speed has been fluctuating. Seems broke to me but before I call for service does anyone have any comments?

hmm...interesting...if its an auto it should be adjusting for temperature changes automatically so that may be the reason

just had mine in for a new somethin-or-other back there in the dash. My fan speed would fluctuate on it's own from low to high and I couldn't turn the "auto" feature off.

was done under warranty (CPO, but I still have one year of factory left - you should too)

could b the sensor's messed up

had a friend who had a problem similar to yrs...when u turn off e car, if you didnt turn off the a/c and the fan speed is lets say for argument sake 5.

then when u start cranking, it will go down to 1 and then once cranked and started, it will go back to 5 where it was.

my friends a/c after that 1 thingy would go back to 5 and start swtiching modes erroeously..
dealer fixed it up by resetting the software i think...
