Hand brake light

Lots about brake lights lately....My hand brake light stays on almost permantly now, except for when I apply the handbrake, it can be either on or off then it doesnt really care. The light never used to come on until my head unit was wired up, could the dashboard lights wire from my headunit be causing this or something else.

The fact that it goes on and off when the brake is applied points to a loose switchas a possible culprit.

Carefully pull the boot around the lever up from the centre console and slide forward off the lever then inspect the swith for good contact and earth.
