Head air bags

I bought my 330i used - how do I tell it has side head protection? It has the front curtain

That is your side head protection.

I don't know when BMW started putting in the specific HPS, but I know my 2001 (built in 2000) has it and also my 2004. Both of my BMWs have the "HPS" label on the windshield pillars indicating the head protection system airbags.

I don't think you could get one in the US without it. But you can see in the A pillars a little slit.
