I sent my car to the dealer to have them do a little work, and it was only when I brought the car home that I noticed a few things had changed. First, the headlights are always on and I have no control over that where I prefer to turn them on when I please. Second, the box that shows the temperature etc. now only shows the miles per gallon. Is there any ways that I can fix this issue myself as I really do not wish to return the vehicle to the dealer for them to keep it for a day to fix this change. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, sounds like they updated the software and lost your original settings. If the headlights are always on, it sounds like they activated DRL (Daytime Running Lamps). Not sure why it lost the other display functions, odd.

This is one item that can only be done with a computer interface and BMW programming software. You'll have to take it back, hammer them to give you a loaner since it's THEIR fault not yours.

We love the daytime running lights, makes your car more visible to other vehicles, especially on cloudy days, or at the end of the day. Consider keeping that one.

It's too bad the cars require a trip to the dealer to set basic vehicle settings.

Is this the case with the new car, or has "iDrive" finally made everything available to the owner?

As for the display showing miles per gallon, on my 330, when you push the button on the turn signal stalk, it changes to miles per gallon, temperature, clock, etc. Try pressing that button.
