headlight question

hey guys,

just wodering what the life expectancy for xenon headlight is. i have a 00 323Ci and the lights just started flickering. it bugs cuz people think im flashing my light at them at night so my car is just pissin other people off.

Try relacing the bulbs with the Xenon. but a flicker like you describe sounds more like a loose wire or a short. but try the quick fix first. I plan on putting the Xenon's in my Z3 next month or so. I love the blue-ish color they put out.

Quality HID lights have around 3000 hour life expectancy as apposed to 300 hour for a Halogen.
I agree, check for a short, loose or worn wire that could be causing the flickering.

alright i looked around this morning and all the wires still look like new, very clean, disconnected and reconnected the main switch at the light...lights didnt flash but the test will be on the drive home tonight

Is the assembly loose in any way? Maybe it's moving around a little bit and that is what's causing the flicker?

ok....more people pissed off on the highway tonight.....aNoodle, just how tight is it supposed to be, b/c the bulb felt a little loose, like you could move it around a bit, but nothing else...maybe i'll just have to get new ones =0(...any other suggestions out there?
