I am trying to get the headrests off the rear seats because the rollover protection deployed, but they only go down and back to one click. With the release button pressed. Is this a "feature" or how to I get them completely out. Also it says I need a special tool to get the rollbars back down, what is this tool and can I use anything else to get them to go back down?

Rollover protection

Hi there...
under the roll bars, there's a plastic trim piece. with this out of the way (it just pops up and off), you should be able to see the ratcheting device that keeps it up(popped). You'll need a long flat bar to stick down there to release the locking mechanism, and then push down the roll bar When you bought the car, there might be a tool in the tool kit(trunk lid). If not, use a flat bar or something similar.

Hope this helps,
Tiger

Rollover protection

Hi there...
Do you have the model where the roll bars come out of the back of the headrests? If so, the look down the hole where they popped up from. If your model has the roll bars not incorporated in the headrests, then under the roll bars, there's a plastic trim piece. With this out of the way (it just pops up and off), you should be able to see the ratcheting device that keeps it up(popped). You'll need a long flat bar to stick down there to release the locking mechanism, and then push down the roll bar(regardless of which style roll bars). When you bought the car, there might have been a tool in the tool kit(trunk lid). If not, use a flat bar or something similar.

Hope this helps,
Tiger
