My friend has just purchased a 01 325ci convertible but for the love of money him nor myself let alone the car lot dealer has no clue how to open it. Could ne one advise. We think possibly there is a problem with it? could you clarify if there is ne safety device that prevents it from goin down. He tried manually releasing the bar in the trunk (rollover bar i think) and he put it down half way and put it up back jus to be sure that it would reclose and ofcourse it did.
