Well the little boy decides he hasnt had enough attention lately, so starting this morning, turn on car, clickity, clickity, click noises........thinking its the battery again, start pumping the gas pedal, he acts like he's going to purrrrrrrr, but no.......then floor gas, pump gas pedal, floor gas pedal again and roooooooaaaaaaaarrrrrrrr he goes and off we go........in all my errands today, at least 6 stops, he acts like he's not going to work, then the same ritual of clickity click, almost purrrr, pump gas, floor gas, pump gas, floor gas.....then roar..........when I turn the car off, there is something still making noises under the hood but then it quits.........all the lights come on, then blurry, then bright and goes away once he starts to roar.......... [bigcry]

Alternator, starter, battery or a combination........my car has been towed twice by BMW because the car won't start after sitting a couple of weeks at airport, but the dealership always says its fine.........also it has shook a few times when idling like the coils misfiring again......but goes away too....... [unsure]

I text messaged my BMW tech advisor and said to be ready for this POS on Monday morning with a little new loaner BMW awaiting my arrival...... [^]

When it rains, it pours........... [duh]

all six coils were replaced about 9 months ago, third battery already so who knows...........

I was laughing when I got home this afternoon and noticed a screw in two of the tires........sitting pretty as you please ........contractors working on my house. I bitched a couple of days ago about the garage door installer. When I pulled into the garage that evening admiring my new garage doors, looked around and saw all this hardware laying in the driveway and around the garage floor.......picked up a handful of screws, washers and nuts. Idiot should know if you're installing garage doors, there might be a car coming through this area so why the freak would you not pick up your trash..................

Got a new heavenly bed today and its raining so I think I'm going to crawl in there now and just be quiet..............shhhhhhhhhhhh please be quiet there's a basket case in here with two bottles of champagne chilling in my bedroom mini-frig.........so laughing.

Have they checked if any of you trunk lights are on when car is turned off. My neighboor's Z3 had this problem and it dealer several times to find out the cause of battery being run down.

I had the same problem with the battery discharging a while back when I was not driving the car but once a week. The SA said this is common due to the self test the car does, this causes the battery to drain. I took the car in they did do some reprogramming, due the fact they said it was performing the self test to often. The SA said that if you don't drive the car much you should put a trickle charge on the battery, at first I thought he was full of crap, but I read the owners manual it said the same thing. So if anything you might want to drive the car if possible every third day.

I agree, but I drive my car every day unless I'm traveling and it sits at the airport, but other than that it gets over 200 miles a day of driving time. Its just a spoiled, pissy car.........
