how can i find out the answer to my ques

i called my dealer and they have no idea, i posted this ques before and nobody seems to know, i called another dealer and they're not sure... how do i find out?

heres the question: how do you know if your car has bmw assist?

Does your car have a Wrench and SOS button somewhere in the rear-view mirror?

You could pull out the left inner trunk linning and check for a TCU (Telematics Control Unit), or just look for the buttons on the mirror like Tom said.

thanks for the replies. i went to my car and no theres no buttons on my rear view mirror but maybe they changed that for the newer cars? because my car has a button on the gps that says "assist". my question now is if that button on my gps is bmw assist.

For people who didn't order their car with bmw assist, but w/ gps: does your car have a little icon that says "emergency" and when u click it does it have two icons that allow you to call "emergency" and "assist"?

i guess if everybody has that, then thats not bmw assist. if that doesn't work, i'll open my trunk lining to check for the TCU. thanks for your help.

there must be somebody that can check their gps to see if they have those two buttons under menu...............

I have the emergency button on my GPS and I don't have BMW Assist.

My GPS has "Emergency" but does not have "Assist". That's because I didn't order the service. I read in the brochure that if you have assist, which is a pay service, it would operate through your GPS system.

so i'm assuming that all cars w/o bmw assist have the button that says "emergency" but not "assist" which is only on cars w/ bmw assist.....
