How much and how long to fix a dent?

I recently discovered a smallish dent on my driver-side door. It's to left of the handle, and down a bit; I'm positive it was another driver getting into/out of his/her car. The dent doesn't look that bad up close, but from a distance, it's fairly noticeable and light really catches it. [mad]

Has anyone ever had a dent removed before? How long did it take and how much can I expect to pay?

Thanks

Takes 5 minutes, can be totally removed (as if it were never there before)...

Costs me about $50 a ding, and about $25 plus each extra ding if it is on the same panel.

Trust me, I've had more dings removed than anyone, its totally sad! haha!

Oh, and you have to find the right person to do it, ask around and find whoever does the most excellent work.

Like I used to have it done at the local BMW dealership but that guy sucked until Tom told me about this other guy in Austin, and he turned out to be superb.

Good luck!

Dent Wizard

I have found Dent Wizard to be the best (Even Consumer Reports agrees) The location in Leonia NJ di work on my BLACK 330ci on 2 occasions and you would never know it. There are limits though...

I usually go to an actual Dent Wizard location rather than a dealership that offers it. Delearships tend to charge more.

$50-$70 is about the right price, depending on the location of the ding. Some may take 5 minutes while others will be much longer.

The cheapest route is to go with a mobile service rather than a bricks and mortar location.
