How much is the security deposit on a 325i?

My dealer is asking for $450 for a lease on a 2004 325i 36 mos./36,000 miles. I thought it was $300. Apparently its tied to offering me the best money factor.

True or False?

Are you asking, regarding the monthly payment or the security deposit itself? I keep seeing an add for a 325i model lease for 24 months (24K miles), $3K down, and $289 a month. It's a great price, but keep in mind that it's for a 325i with NO options....maybe only automatic transmission.

I was referring to the security deposit. Dealer is asking for $450 for security deposit. He said it was tied to offering best money factor. I thought it was $300.

I just leased a 325 xit wagon, and they asked for an $800 sec. dep., and found out at the deal table that the money factor was more because I chose not to put down the $ for sec. dep. It increased the MF by 0.2 (that's money factor... not...)

I was told that your security deposit was basically equal to your monthly payment rounded up to the next $50.
