How to make a backup of my roadmap

I got a 2005-5 Road map European High DVD that I would like to make a working backup . Needs to work on a 2003 E46

1) How do I make a working image of the DVD?

2) What settings / program do I use ?

3) What media / brand gives a working copy?

You can make a copy buy using a computer with software for copying DVD's. It's pretty simple and as long as you own the DVD, it's 100% legal. I copy the movies I buy and store the orginal as a back up (I still have kids in the house)
