hi guys! I found the car, here is the info:

2003, 325XI - clean carfax i checked myself, one owner and less than 10,000 miles. steel blue with tan leather package interior, cold weather packaga, premium package, all wheel drive, automatic package, 10 speakers, spare, all tools, garage kept.

i have never in my life seen a car this clean and this well maintained. i mean, no scratches, no nothing.... i am serios, showroom condition, the guy has never taken it out (only 10M) the interior is so clean, it looks like the plastic just came off of it.

took the baby for a spin, it handles like a motherF#%*%
is so great, clean and the engine sounds like a pouring kitty. nice and clean. the guy is selling for 30,000.

wont bring down price. i know i might get something out there for less, but gosh, this guy is anal with this car. i would rather pay more for this peace of mind. this guy wont take it out during winter. he even covers it with the factory cover even though is in the garage.

i love the condition. is it woth 30? i think he might lover the price on paper so i save on taxes.... so what do you think? i have never seen a car in this beautiful condition.

please let me know, i am putting deposit in 14 days. want to feel sure.

thanks for all! ps. wait for pics if i buy

cheers, daddyslittlegirl [screwy]

A motherf^&%$* handles like a motherf**&^%$ from my experiences.

Sounds like a nice car to me. Seems you have fallen in love. I think the price is about right for all those options. You will never find a more meticulously kept car as long as you look. The standard has been set. Tough act to follow.

guys, what i meant as handle as a motherf$#)* is that, i have never felt a smoother ride (duh!) the car really is a little jewel, i really think is worth the 30grand... i mean, i would have loved a sport package, but, when i met the owner of the car and i saw the condition of not only the bimmer but his explorer i realized that he took great care of everything inside and out.

i am concerned but it came back clean from carfax i am putting 15 grand down

Did it get the sliptronic transmission swapped???? Maybe that's why he's selling.

Or maybe it has a sliptronic and he didn't let the dealer touch it and is selling it.

not worth it to me...you can get a new 2003 or even 2004 3-series these days with a little bargaining for $35k...which is $5,000 less than his selling price.

Personally that price difference for a NEW car is justifiable...I never trust used cars.

I thought you were after that M3 conv.?? :)!

Check out the new incentives from the dealers. From what I hear, you can get a 2004 similarly equiped for about the same price. Does anyone know how much the incentive is for? I want to say ~3K-4K.

The incentive expired 6/30 and it was $1200 on the 325 and $2400 on the 330 on dealer inventory... Mid year you can always get dealer inventory at nearly invoice price even with halfway decent bargaining. They may have renewed it; I have no idea....

I almost bought into the hype of a 'beautiful baby' myself... waited 6 months... got a better car, saving myself an extra $200/month.... patience is key.
Patience IS key. It got me a much better vehicle. I was so close into an 02 525i, but waited 3 months and found an 03 530i for less--go figure [hihi]. So I have to say, wise desicion on waiting, you'll have another chance later.

BTW, Since you traded the 325i for a 530i, have you noticed the 530 to be quicker than the 325? It is the same 3.0 225hp engine as they're still using I believe. I think the 525i being that big a car with only 184hp is a joke, good job in getting the 530i instead.

I have a feeling BMW will end up dumping the 2.5 I6 engine in America simply because of Japan's competitive cars with their V6's with hp in the high 200's. How can BMW call themselves a performance car maker with 184hp in a 3600lb car.

YES! The 530i is definitely quicker and same engine as the 330i. Although it weighs in a 3549lbs--330lbs more than the 325i--the 41+hp is a big difference. Gottan think its BMW power, so the smooth I6 delivers more efficiently. My friend said he thought the engine had more HP than what I told him.
