I Hate Deer

so i was driving to work this evening on a nice country road, and i come over a hill doing about 70mph, and theres a deer standing on the side of the road. i hit the brakes as hard as i could but the f***er just jumped right in front of my car. i was probably going about 40-50 when i hit him, so needless to say my car is messed up real bad. the damn deer had to hit the hood, then the left fender, and finally the door!!! anyway i dont have the time or money to fix it so i think im gonna sell it and hopefully get a 325i.

ive observed in all the incounters with deer that ive had, steer towards where they were standing when they first saw you! i cleared three lanes and into the ditch and that shit somehow still got infront of me.

the good news for you is, you will have something new to play with, right?

Ouch! But I must say your car held up well. I worker at a rental car company when I was in school and you would not believe the damage a deer can do. It is too bad this happened but it looks like you can fix it without a whole lot of trouble. At least it is not a total loss.

i think for now im gonna try to sell it because i dont have the time or money to fix it. ill be stuck driving an accord for a while, but what the hell. then when i have a little more money ill get a newer bimmer.

Sorry about the news...I cant say I hate deer though, they are everywhere here too & eat my garden 1/2 the time. Sigh !!!

yea deer sucks, i hit one on the highway doing about 80.. i prolly slowed down to about 60 or so before hitting it. did a 180, started rolling backwards before the car stalled.

killed the right front of my car, hit the door and splattered all that nasty crap on it.. took a month to get back, and cost the insurance 3500 to 4k to fix.. cost me nothing, since we have broad collision in michigan.

still after that the car just ain't right.. altho it still runs. (was a 95 eagle talon and the accident happened in 99) i was pretty pissed, but oh well what can you do right? i feel for you tho, i too hate deer, and we should eat more venison to exact revenge!!

i just took off the fender, and all the plastic crap that was busted under it, but it looks like i can get a new fender, headlight assembly, grill and the plastic stuff that goes around and under the bumper. it should only be a few hundred dollars, and it wont be perfect, but id much rather spend that than drive a honda accord for free.
