since when can u buy em with a 6spd? u don't have the v8 then?
how are those twin turbos? my friend put a s4 engine and drivetrain
into his a4...he took me for a ride it was darn quick, but he had the boost
turned up a bit

This is a new S4, comes with a V8 and 6-speed and Quattro. No more Turbos. It's an A8 engine with the crank drive modified to fit on the inside so that the engine would fit into the A4 bay. This is a real thing. [thumb]

bahnstormer, you need to do some research on the new S4, dude. Your facts are WAY off.
The new 2004 Audi S4 packs a 4.2 liter V8 pumping out 344hp. The engine is taken from the A6 and was made lighter and more compact to fit in the new S4's hood (it was "shoe-horned" in there, as they say). The car has Quattro AWD, 50:50 weight distribution, 6-speed manual (or 6-speed auto) transmission, 18" wheels, sport suspension, and vented brakes.

The previous S4 (B5 S4, years 2000-2002) had a 2.7 liter twin-turbo V6 pushing 250hp and 258 torque (from 1,950 to 5,500rpm I believe), Quattro AWD, available in a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. You are confused between the both of them.

Great looking car, congrats. What is she like to drive around town? I've always liked Audi's understated elegance and focused interiors. If I didn't recently purchase a 330Ci, I would have considered something like this. Maybe next time, if Bangle bungles the next 3/4.

Yep, that's Brian's car. [thumb] He knows me too. These guys are more into Show mods or Drag strip, where we are more of a Track/AutoX crowd (Team Monsoon). I bet you've seen our cars around, including the silver M5.
