this is easy its located in your intake manifold should be sidways with 2 hoses connected to it and one for wiring

easy for u to say lol i never even looked at en engine bay on a bmw lol

whoa!! its pretty easy to locate though trust me I know these things look complicated at first glance but trust me its easy as pie!! its a silver little round cylinder with an arrow on it pointing up just remove the hoses and wiring and clean that puppy with degreaser should do the trick.. theres a DIY on it on bimmerDIY.com check it out!! hope this helps[headbang]
