Ignition coil bad again...for 3rd time!!!

Here we go again. This morning my '04 325CI started up sounding like it was going to puke. I knew at once it was the rough idling of bad ignition coils.

Third time for this in a year and a half.....

Obvioulsy BMW has a ignition harness problem or other related ignition system failure going on....

The 2004s seem like they're having some problems. First, the trannies kept going. Now it's the coils?

I'd try and lemon your car.

Actually it was the 03's and early 04's with the tranny problems. As for the 2.5 engine I think BMW has quite a few problems with them, I wouldn't recommend them. The fact that the 3.0 gets noticeably better gas mileage being a bigger engine and has a much better pickup than the 2.5 is reason enough to say BMW needs to refine their 2.5 engine.
