Hey guys,

Check engine light came on and I just read my fault codes 15 & 90 using my code reader. Fault was for a "PreCat Oxygen Sensor response time" and "Intervention, ASC". Does anyone know what this means and what I need replaced? Thanks for your input.

I'm taking an educated guess here, nothing more.

The Precat (there are pre and post catalytic convertor sensors) Oxygen Sensor response time sounds like the sensor MIGHT be failing - it sounds like the computer can "see" the sensor but did not get the expected voltage back. This is what triggered the check engine light.

I think the Intervention ASC didn't trigger the check engine light. At some point the ASC (Automatic Stability Control) kicked in when you were driving, and it logged the event.

I would reset the codes and wait for it to happen again before doing anything.

I actually reset it a few times then for some reason, I checked the tire pressure and it was a little low on a couple tires (30psi) and I filled up the tires to 40psi all around and for some reason the light never came on again. Drove the car all weekend and no check engine light. This sounds strange but for some reason it worked. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Hey eood_e, so your saying the tire pressure will not fault up my ACS? Even if the tire is flat the ASC will not trigger the check light to come on? Just curious because I don't know these things. Everything seems to run fine and the fault light has not come on since. Before it was coming on all the time with this fault and now with tire pressure up, no faults. Does this sound strange?
