Be sure you have 'all' the tools on hand that you need. I made the stupid mistake of not having the right sized allen wrench to get into my ECU of all the silly things, when I went to tap into power.. 1 trip to sears and 45 minutes later and I was back on track. Took 3 1/2 hours counting the sears run.. BTW I'm fairly mechanically challenged, I can follow directions well, the link above is the same one I followed along with a PDF I got from Umnitza for installation.

Good luck, if you run into problems post here I'll try to help you out.

I installed my angel eyes and they look really good! The only question that I have is, are they supposed to blink when I use my turn signal? I tapped into my side lightbulb. The instructions that I had told me to. Maybe yall have a different idea.

Errrr, no they shouldn't blink, I don't think the turn signal is the right one to use.

The ones used most often are the 'always on' by tapping into the main car power aux (This leaves them on as soon as the key hits the #2 position before turning the engine over, and they stay on after the car is off for 10 secs or so). The other power source used often is the fog light power, so that the DDE's only come on when you put your fogs on.

There's a host of different places you can tap into for power, that will cause it to go on/off at different times. I don't think the turn signal is one to use tho? (especially if it's making it 'blink' when you use the signal, that's not good).

Ok, thanks a lot. Yeah, I wasn't too sure if it was right. The instructions that came with the angel eyes said to tap into the sidelight bulb and the corner bulb was the only bulb I can seem to find as the sidelight bulb. I'll be sure to tap into somewhere else then.

Another question I had that maybe you can help me with is, how do you disassemble your mirrors?? I just received a new set of sport mirrors and it tells me how to install them. I just don't know how to take my original mirrors off. If you know, could you please help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

New to angel eyes.. Is it a requirement to have Xenons prior to installing angel eyes or can any E46 accept them?

What's the difference between the two?

I don't think it is a requirement to have Xenons. I think any E46 can accept them. My car does not have the Xenons. I have seen the way they look with the Xenons and I have to say they do look better. When the headlights are turned on with the Xenons, you can still see the ring around it. As for the headlights without Xenons, you can't see them unless of course you just have the parking lights on. Although I am pleased with the way my turned out. They look really cool at night time.

Hey Section 8, I wanted to say thanks for the help with the angel eyes. I took your advice and they turned out a lot better. It's funny, they are a lot brighter. I guess having them hooked up to the corner lights wasn't giving it enough power. Thanks!
