I posted earlier describing the new 2004 330Ci with SMG I just ordered. I was wondering what you guys think about the interior trim in this car (I ordered black leather with myrtle wood trim). I really liked how the wood looked against the black interior, and I dislike the brushed aluminum trim because, IMO, it looks kinda cheap. However, I know some people think the wood trim doesn't look good in the coupe because it doesn't look "sporty." I don't feel this way, but what do you guys think? Also, I think the Aluminum Cube trim looks the best of these three, but isn't available outside of the PP on the 3-series. Is it possible to get the cube trim in the 330Ci without going aftermarket? I'm also confused because some pictures I've seen seem to show that the steering whell and shifter knob have wood trim, and I would really prefer a flat black steering wheel and a black shifting knob. Anyone know about this?

Looks good

For the E46 there is not everything designed yet. Only few pieces. But there will be more later on. Because everything has to be perfect. It is aftermarket but its made in England by company which specialize in this parts. Prices depends. The whole kit for E36 which is 39 pieces is around $1500. You can also get separae parts but each one comes up more due to shipping. But I can ashure you that in real life when you see it it will blow you away.

Here are some more pictures for the E36. But I can also email you all the parts for E46.

I think the aluminum trim is cheap looking too, it has like "scratches" on it that were meant to be there but look as if it's used and old. I also have black leather with myrtle wood and it is the most luxurious combination IMO. You made the right choice :)

I think the wood looks too dark on a black interior. With that interior, I'd pick the aluminum. All the other interiors I think wood looks better than the aluminum.

Just ask your dealer how much it would cost the aluminum cube would cost. Since it's a BMW part, they'd have the part numbers. It'd be a direct replacement with your wood trim so there wouldn't be any problems other than cost. You can even install them yourself.
