Is your dad adopting soon? Cause I would like to apply......

The best I ever did was when I was 18 (many many moons ago) after my '74 Celica ST with 105K miles died, my dad gave me his '75 4-banger 4-speed reddish orange VW Rabbit w/35K miles on it.......WOO HOOOOOO

well its not just my car...its basically his too, our family has three licenced drivers (me, dad and mom) and unlike most families who's kid goes to school and needs his own car which makes 3 cars for the family, my family only needs 2, the reason being my dad owns the company and chooses to go at night for a lot less traffic, so the car that he gets me hes going to drive as well so he wanted a new BMW so that it would be under warranty and he needs a nice car for his image as a multi-million dollar company owner...it all works [hihi]

both cars...hmm...the guy at the dealer asked "why not get this one and keep the other one" and he said "no" it would be cool to have both but the main problem with the amount of cars is our neighborhood, we already have 3 cars at our house (2004 745Li, 2000 740iL, 1998 525i not including what the latest car will be. we have a 3 car garage (1 side is a full gym and the other side is holding a bunch of furniture that we have extra from my uncle's house when he moved (we pay for my uncle and his family to live here as he has no job, my mom's mad at that) so anyway back to the parking problem...so we have 3 cars so far, plus getting 1 more, we have the 3 car garage (which goes to 1 when you account the space taken on the other sides) and 3 outside spaces which lead to the garage, 1 needs to remain open to let one of the 7 get out so that leaves two available slots, which 1 is currently holding the 740iL holding...this is getting confused so let me draw a picture:

Illustration of Garage since i confused myself reading back even though its my garage

Illustration:

--House Area--
____________________

| Gym | 745Li| Furniture | <- Enclosed Garage

-------------------------------

| X3 |740iL | 525i | <- Outdoor Parking

--------------------------------

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <Street

--------------------------------

| (Name) | = one parking space, 6 available parking spaces at house when everything is empty

and we can't park on the street, so no more room for cars curretly to get a 325i and X3, because our stupid house association wont let us becuase it thinks it subtracts from our neighboorhood when people are looking at houses, which is dum becuase we live in a multi-million dollar neighboorhood where the houses speak for themselves!!

Curious that the "xenon charged" bulbs:
1. Don't use a high voltage supply typical of xenon systems.
2. Have blue glass envelopes which will filter out the yellow light, creating a whiter light.

Hmmmmmmmm........

LOL.....everything is either "xenon" or Xtreme nowadays. It's just a little $0.02 bulb painted blue & marked up a few thousand percent.

bmwenthusiast, your solution is obviously a new house with more parking.

That's right. These so-called "xenon" bulbs are just regular filament-based bulbs with tinted glass -- usually blue to filter out the yellow from the light spectrum. It's not to be confused with the "xenon gas" used in HID.

I don't know... I personally prefer a warmer yellowish/orange glow inside the cabin. A white light inside a car looks kinda eerie. [:)]

I think it looks pretty cool...may have to try it out if/when any of my stock interior bulbs burn out (gives me an excuse to buy something new). I have black leather so it's pretty dark in there. To be honest, BMW orange all around would be better - preserve the night vision...may have to check into that...
