iPod adapter problem

I just had the new iPod adapter installed on my 2006 M3 Covertible, which has the standard "BMW Business" CD and Radio. Now, the unit will only stay on for approx. 19-20 minutes for each spurt, after which the radio will completely shut off (and the radio's red security light will even start blinking, as if the car was turned off).

I read a thread from last fall from someone else that had this problem, and they said replacing the radio fuse would solve the problem. I have checked both fuses for the radio, and both are intact and seated properly... yet the problem still continues.

Additionally, the radio will not turn off when the car is turned off (opening the door doesn't affect it either). Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a solution? A rep at BMW Seattle says they've never heard of this problem, but would take a look at it if I brought it in. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Just so everyone knows... just had this problem fixed. The dealership accidentally failed to connect the "accessory wire". Supposedly it used to be removed during install, but now is supposed to be connected. Well they fixed it today, apologized, and everything works well.
